It is said that one must commit 10,000 hours of work to master a given field.Much like the mythical beast that only exists in fairy tales, a UI/UX unicorn pursuing an IDP BA_HXDI must invest the same level of work in every discipline that constitutes user experience- research, visual design, coding, etc. After two decades of developing Integrated Marketing Campaigns (IMC) through user engagement and technology infrastructure, my goal is to pivot to a UI/UX role which prioritizes inclusive accessibility but also acknowledges that AI and assistive tools will frame the conversations – and user engagement – of tomorrow to create innovative new products, technologies and services.
